Dr. Siddhartha Gupta
Siddhartha Gupta is a highly accomplished orthopedic surgeon with almost twenty years of experience in the field. He has worked with several renowned hospitals in Kolkata and Howrah, including Peerless Hospital, Bellevue Clinic, and Shree Jain Hospital. Siddhartha is particularly skilled in minimally invasive fracture treatment and pelvic-acetabular surgeries, as well as hip and knee replacement, spinal surgeries, and trauma surgeries.
Siddhartha completed his undergraduate studies at Don Bosco Liluah and Calcutta Boys School. He secured admission to Calcutta Medical College after performing well in the All India Pre-Medical Test and various other pre-medical exams in 1991.
After completing his MBBS and internship in 1997, Siddhartha pursued MS in Orthopaedics at King Edward V11 Medical Hospital and Seth G.S Medical College Mumbai (KEMH). He secured the 29th rank in the All India Postgraduate Medical Entrance Examinations held in Jan 1998. Siddhartha was awarded the Best Orthopedic Resident and topped his MS exams at Mumbai University. He was also a topper and gold medalist in FCPS Ortho-exams and secured the 2nd rank in his D-ortho exams conducted by CPS Mumbai for candidates from all over Maharashtra.
Following his residency at KEM in sub-specialty units of the spine and joint replacement, Siddhartha completed two fellowships: the Depuy, Johnson & Johnson Fellowship in Knee Replacement in 2003 – 2004 with Dr. P.K Banerji, and a fellowship in Hip Replacement and Reconstruction from Seoul in 2006 with Dr. S.Y Shon, who was the President of the Hip Society of South Korea.
In addition to performing surgeries, Siddhartha is a senior faculty member for DNB-Orthopedic students at Peerless Hospital and B.K. Roy Research Center. He has presented his work at numerous international and national conferences and is a highly respected faculty member in various conferences. Outside of work, Siddhartha enjoys traveling and reading.
